Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He's outright abrasive to the others, but keeps finding excuses to stick around.Hollywood Silencer: He claims his Buntline Special uses custom ammo to make it quieter.Hired Guns: A mercenary through and through, he is introduced as having been contracted by the DeVitt company to protect a train, then joined forces with Cooper and Kate because they're paying him (and because the cheapskate company refused to pay him).Everyone Has Standards: Amoral gun for hire though he may be, Doc is disgusted at the very notion of slave trading.Deadly Doctor: In addition to being a skilled sniper, Doc can also use chloroform and a poison syringe to take out enemies at close range.Dark Is Not Evil: Dresses entirely in black but is one of the heroes.Cold Sniper: His main motivation is money and he is generally snarky and aloof compared to the other playable characters.But at the At the end of the second to last mission rescues them by shooting DeVitt when he had them at gunpoint. Big Damn Hero: After breaking out of the mine he had left the group in anger.Badass Longcoat: His flowing black trench coat, which helps conceal his extra long pistol.Veteran of war and doctor, McCoy is also a mercenary and elite marksman who works for whomever pays him. Tragic Keepsake: Implied with his Colt Navy, likely belonging to his father, if his talk with Wayne have any indication.Throwing the Distraction: He carries an unlimited number of (fake) coins that, when thrown, cause enemies to look in the direction of the noise it makes.Revolvers Are Just Better: His revolvers are loud, but have a decent range and, by pairing them up, allow him to take down two enemies at once.
He learned to get over this by the final mission, though, where he doesn't turn away his companions' help in taking Frank and his men down. Revenge Before Reason: John has a very personal reason for wanting Frank dead because he killed his father, to the point that he wants himself to be the one who deals with Frank alone without anybody else involved, which leads to a conflict with his companions and leads to disastrous consequences in the conclusion of Chapter 2, where his misguided attempt to take on Frank alone almost gets him killed and his companions captured.In that regard, he's able to shoot at two different targets simultaneously. The Gunslinger: Cooper is skilled at a Quick Draw with Guns Akimbo.Guns Akimbo: He uses a Remington New Model Army and a Colt 1851 Navy, allowing him to take out two enemies at once.Knife Nut: His Bowie knife can be use for melee and ranged kills.Apart from DeVitt, he doesn't really track down any bounties ingame with most of the game's storyline being personal. Bounty Hunter: His father is training him to be one in the tutorial mission.In the tutorial, it's shown that he had to practice a lot to get this right. The Blade Always Lands Pointy End In: Ingame, his thrown Bowie Knife is always lethal.Badass Longcoat: Wears a duster coat and is a skilled gunslinger.A bounty hunter who's trying to settle an old grudge with Frank, a notorious outlaw. However, most of the parts for the other challenges, including their descriptions, was already in the game at that time.The main protagonist of the game.
