You have to learn where the settings are on android vs where they were on ios, but you can do a lot more on android. There is a bit of a learning curve making the switch. Iphone apps crash just as much as android. I have don't have any issues with crashing. Almost every ios app is avaliable on the google play store for android. Use google photos instead of icloud photos. Export your contacts from icloud and import them to gmail. Forward your icloud email to a gmail account. I now use Gmail, Kodi, and hangouts instead of their apple counterparts.

The reason I kept the iphone around was I using the apple eocsystem (macbook pro, apple tv, mac pro, and icloud.) I got a new job and returned had to return the mac pro I was using. If you want to try before you buy I think I remember a trial version being on the developer's website. If you can't tell already, it's insanely powerful and limited really only by your creativity. I've even set it up to do some wacky things like play the Wii Shop Channel theme whenever I open the Play Store (stole the idea from someone else) and speed up or slow down all system-wide animations based on the amount of light hitting the light sensor. I've used it in the past to switch between two different launchers based on whether I'm at school or not. I use it to enable or disable auto rotate depending on which app I'm in. I use it to block calls from first time unknown callers. I use it to automatically silence my phone whenever I'm at school or charging overnight. In a nutshell, it allows you to automate just about anything on your phone.
You really can't talk about the power of Android apps without bringing up Tasker.
